BIRD'S-EYE VIEW FOR WINNING CAMERAMAN

An eye catching picture of Ilford's newest landmark with a stunning backdrop of swirling clouds - has won a resident the chance to stand at the top of the building he photographed.

Moses Kpayser, of Pembroke Road, Seven Kings, entered our In the Picture competition.

It offered readers the chance to stand at the top of the 367ft high North Building of Pioneer Point, Ilford, if their photo of the towers won over four judges.

Mr Kpayser is due to be taken to the top of the tower later this month courtesy of EPGI.

He said: "I'm interested in photography and I thought it would be nice to take part in the competition. I was aware of the sky when I was taking the picture. i was trying to get a scene that matched well with the buildings. I was satisfied with the photo but I did ask other people's views as well."

The runner-up was Charles Sharon, 79, of Waverley Gardens, Barkingside, with third place going to Dharam Sahdev of The Crescent, Gants Hill.

The two Pioneer Point towers, which are due to be completed by the end of the year, will have 294 apartments and three floors od retailers including restaurants and possibly a gym.
